Radiesse®

Radiesse is a type of dermal filler that is commonly used to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of volume in the face and hands. The active ingredient in Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which is a biocompatible and biodegradable substance that is naturally found in the body.

When injected, Radiesse acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and support while stimulating the body's natural collagen production. Over time, the body gradually absorbs the CaHA microspheres and replaces them with its own collagen, resulting in a longer-lasting and more natural-looking result than some other types of fillers.

Radiesse is FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth), as well as for hand rejuvenation. The effects of Radiesse typically last for 12-18 months, although individual results may vary.
